St Osyth Wick Fishery Rules
(Amended March 2008)

1. Cars must be parked in the car parks provided. Parking is prohibited on the track. Anglers may drive round to their peg to unload and then return to the car park. Cars must not venture past the rope in the back lake.
2. Pleasure fishing is only permitted on Match Days on the opposite lake, unless otherwise stated – please read notices on the gate prior to match days.
3. Night fishing is permitted, but there is no night fishing the night before in the lake to be used for a match. This applies to both lakes the night before the Open Match.
4. No more than two consecutive nights may be spent at any one peg.
5. Any angler found leaving their car at a swim during a night or day session will lose their membership.
6. All permit holders must be in possession of a current Environment Agency National Rod Licence.
7. No more than two rods at a time may be used.
8. No fish may be taken away or brought to St Osyth Wick Fishery (inc. eels)
9. Fish must be returned to the lake from which they were caught.
10. Members bringing alcohol or drugs, leaving litter or lighting fires will be refused the right to fish.
11. Two keep nets must be used (minimum size 8ft. x 18in, knotless) – one for silver fish and one for carp. Carp over 2lb. should not be kept in a net except during matches. Koi must not be kept in nets.
12. Ground baiting is permitted.
13. No sweetcorn or meat must be brought to the bank in tins.
14. All seed baits must be cooked.
15. No boilies to be catapulted in or spodded – use a stringer or PVA bag. Moderate use of pellets is permitted.
16. No angler shall in the exercise of his/her privilege stray away from the bank of the fishery, or cross land or woodland.
